Driller Assistant

Hawk Drilling is a 98 year old well drilling company, located in Ballston Spa, NY.  We are a 5th generation, family-owned business and we are growing.  We do everything from well inspections to water treatment.   

We are looking for a hardworking person who enjoys working outdoors.  Standard CDL required.   

Typical hours are 8:00 - 4:30 pm with overtime as needed at time and a half - often as much as 5 hours/week on the drilling team.  No weekend work unless otherwise specified and agreed upon.   Salary range from $50,000 - $60,000 ($24.00 - 28.80), based upon experience, ability, and attitude.  Potential for growth with experience to a driller.

Benefits:  Full paid individual insurance/dental after 6 months.  Up to 4% 401K match after 1 year.  Paid vacation/personal/sick time and holidays.  Uniforms, tools, and safety equipment provided (excluding steel-toed boots). 

Qualifications:

Must have a CDL B (or A) standard license with no judgments.

Must be able to assist in fixing/maintaining drill rig, ie: oil changes, hydraulics, electrical issues, etc.

Must be able to stand for >5 hours per day and lift heavy equipment multiple times throughout the day, in all weather conditions. 

Must be able to follow safety standards and practice safe driving.

Must have a great attitude and work easily with others. 

Experience in and understanding of pump systems/mechanics a plus.
